Hey guys, I just got a new iPhone 3G and I found that the phone has a good amount of light leaks on the left side of the display between the bezel and touch screen. Is this something that can cause me an issue in the future? I really don't mind the light leaks, but I was reading that dust can get in there and build up and eventually cause the phone to become defective.

Is this true? Should I have my phone replaced right now within my 30 day return period while I still can?

Yes, get it replaced. The gasket is not sealed right and dust and stuff will eventually get in there. When u get the new phone, look it over in the store. Check for cracks, light leaks, negative black screen, etc... before u walk out the door. YOu can check for dead pixels and negative black by going to www.appleservedup.com from safari on any iphone.
