iPod touch I have a few questions about Safari

Hi I'm kind of new here. I'm really planning on buying an ipod touch. but I have a few questions about safari and a few other things.

1. can I listen to music when on safari?

2. Can I sign into youtube with my account and search my favorite videos?

3. How is the speed on safari? I know it depends on your own connection but is it the same speed as internet on the computer or is it slower?

4. I'm planning on buying the 8 GB one(trying to save $$). now with all the apps in the touch, such as safari and things like that, do those things take up space on your 8 GB. because devices such as the xbox 360 says 20 GB but only came with like 15 GB due to everything it composed of within it.

5. does the touch come with a case?

3. It's not the same connection speed on a computer, but its fast.
4. My 16 GB comes with 14.8 GB, so my guess is that the 8 GB comes with 7.2 or somewhere around there.

I should note that last time I used my iPod on 1.1.1 + 1.1.2, Safari would crash when playing music. Not all the time, but enough to annoy me.

2. No, but you can bookmark your videos for quick access.
3. Very slow on your average site, think dial-up speeds, but sites developed for the touch/iPhone work pretty fast.
4. You are able to put up to 7.27 GB of your stuff on it on the 8 GB model.
5. No, but a screen polish cloth that is useful to carry around.

hmm, thanks for noting that.

No problem. The third party apps took up about 200mb at most on my iPod, and that was three pages worth. I then deleted the apps I didn't actually need, and I was down to about 80mb, and 2 pages.

EDIT: My bad, I thought you meant the jailbreak apps.

2. You can sign in with Safari, but you can't watch the videos. You have to bookmark or search for them within the Youtube app. I'm hoping an update will fix that.

3. When connected to my Wireless-G router it's pretty fast...almost as fast as my computer. The Touch does get kinda choppy when scrolling pages while it's still loading (downloading data). After it's loaded it's smooth.

4. Get the 16GB otherwise you'll have regrets. $100 isn't that much more to save. Total usable space of the 16GB Touch is 14.84GB.
