I have a "Jumpy" 23 in Cinema display.

My 23 display started acting acting up recently and it is driving me nuts.
The issue is as I move the mouse around the screen the whole display part of the screen jumps. Everything. The finder, dock, the background image, all the windows. Everything moves perhaps a 1/16 of an inch in whichever direction the mouse is going.
It only happens when the mouse if moved. If I am typing it is still. Only when i move the mouse.

Anyone have any idea of how to fix this?

if some app corrupted the preferences, likely you will notice that the screen is perfectly fine before login -- and as soon as you log in it acts up.

I trashed all the Apple preferences, and set the machine up again. I also killed all the login items (but that was just to get them off the list of problem apps.)

It was the zoom in the universal Access panel. Turned it off and the jumping went away.

You were lucky, mine was corruption of the preferences.

At least I know which one to toss now ... start a certain old PPC app, and bring a install a certain widget and blooey.
