like question says, do i? i like the clean, unmolested look it has now, but don't want to damage the screen or bezel over time. any suggestions?
 
The screen is pretty durable so as long as you keep the smart cover on it when not in use and don't scratch the screen with any sharp materials you should be fine leaving it without a screen protector.
 
I think you should still put a screen prtoector on. Even people who are careful end up with scratches sometimes, and a pristine condition iPad will have a much better resale value in the future. The hard, clear films from PowerSupport and SGP are hardly noticeable.
