I have very little experience with drawing and illustrating digitally but I have always done well with art in its traditional format. Now that I had this Apple Pencil and quite capable machine I would like to learn how to create art digitally, the proper way. I know there are various online tutorials etc. but I was wondering which app would be a good place to start? Procreate? Affinity?

I use Procreate and it's good. It doesn't have a hard UI to understand. You can make animations within it. Pretty cool. Also, the price is cheap compared to Affinity. But then again Affinity has desktop apps that you could continue working on the artwork and easily port then to their other apps within the suite.
