I have a problem with ibook g3

my ibook g3 800mhz can't turn on when i unplugged an ac adapter.when I plugged an ac adapter and turn on.my ibook can start but when I unplugged an ac adapter my ibook turned off at the moment.how to solve this problem?

You probably need a new battery. Unless of course you just haven't given the current battery a chance to charge.

Although based on how old that machine must be, it's probably the battery unless there is another hardware issue lurking.

about 6 years.this promblem happened after replaced a harddisk (i do it by myself). i replaced a harddisk about week ago.

Looking at iFixit's HDD replacement guide, I can't see where you would be dealing with the battery connecter. Regardless, that does sound like the source of the problem
