Part in question, varies from year to year
Hear me out, with the pinout you some how adapt the Touch Bar lcd to hdmi/dp or whatever it uses and probably have to end up replacing the dvd drive (for a unibody ofc) with the driver board pcb, heavily modify the top case and keyboard, solder the input of that to the mini dp, run a program like TouchBarServer and bam. A working Touch Bar on a 2012 MacBook Pro. Why? Because you can, that's why! The only massive issue with this idea is that it's probably not based off of hdmi/dp and is likely entirely proprietary as well as how would touch even work. Yea there's a lot of issues I can already see like finding a way to disable mouse input but oh well.
I've looked and cannot find any lcd like it but honestly can't say I expected much since who would ever need an lcd like that.
