$199/$299 if you are upgrade eligible, $399/$499 if you are only eligible for the early upgrade, $599/$699 if you are not upgrade eligible and have used and early upgrade in the last 12 months. (check your AT&T account to be sure)

No and No. Although, you could get an unlocked one if you want to, but since you are already with AT&T there wouldn't really be a point.

It will start a brand new 2 year contract, i.e. your current contract ends at April 2010, if you're gonna upgrade to an iPhone today (as of Sept '09) your new contract end date will be Sept. 2011..

I have a similar situation: I have ATT, and I am out of my contract. Can I get a used iphone, and activate it on my ATT account with a $30 data plan without signing a new 2-yr contract?
