So my iPhone 3g, has been out of commision for about a year. I gave up on trying to get it to work. So the problem is, is that the battery is dead, but when I plug it in it charges, until it has enough juice to start up, when it starts up it stops charging and dies, it also is not recognized by the computer either. I've tried changing the chord buying a new one, and reinstalling the drivers on the computers, and reinstalling itunes and stuff. If someone can help me that'd be great because there's a few pictures on there that I'd hate to lose.

Does the battery logo come up when you plug it in to charge? What is the last thing in the display before the phone powers off?
