What should I make? :D

Basically I'm not sure what to do with the bits and bobs I have around the place... If anybody can suggest some meals to make with these ingredients and/or anything else you can generally find around the kitchen... not sure what to have for dinner so any suggestions will be great :D

Also if it's anything abstract instructions would be great...

Thanks!

Make bacon rice cheese rolls. Basically, wrap cheese and rice with bacon and put in oven on 375 for like 30 minutes. Should have a good meal.

You have bacon and cheese, two out of the three of the grease food Holy Trinity. All you need now is melted butter and you can forget the rice. ;)

Seriously make a big bowl of rice and use the bacon and cheese to top it like a baked potato. Crack some black pepper over it and bake it long enough to melt the cheese on top.

I was going to suggest something similar. Bacon and cheese filled rice puffs

- Take the rice and mash it up with a small amount of water until it has a texture that's almost like dough. Note: add water slowly and as needed. You don't want a loose or paste like texture.
- Crumple up the bacon and cheese
- On a cookie sheet , spray a non-stick cooking spay or a spread lightly with butter (or use parchment paper).
- Place two inch chunks of rice dough on the cookie sheet
- Press the bacon and cheese crumbles in the center of each chunk and fold up the dough over the top.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 375 for 10 minutes (or until the puffs are lightly browned and some cheese is seen bubbling).

Note: this, of course, depends on the type of rice you have. You can also season the rice a bit (salt, pepper, garlic, whatever) during the mashing.

Seriously, why bother with the rice? It's so unhealthy for you, all that starch and the carbohydrates...

;)

Here is my rice-less suggestion:
1) cook bacon,
2) eat cheese while waiting for bacon to cook,
3) eat bacon

Done!

I thought about each suggestion carefully and decided that this one seemed easiest and yummiest, so I went for this one.
It turned out pretty well, kinda fell apart but it was yummy and delicious anyhow :D no doubt i shall be doing it again. Cheers for all the suggestions guys.

You can't be more wrong.

Carbohydrate such as rice does NOT make people fat.

See people from Eastern Asia, for example China, Japan.

People eat rice 3 meals a day. However, there are almost no fat people.

On the contrary, it's the high calories and high fat (such as bacon) that is unhealthy.

FYI, A Warning To Atkins Dieters

Wow, no sense of humor?

I thought that perhaps this:
might have been a clue that the previous statement in my post was a joke. I shall petition the powers that be for specific JOKE and /JOKE tags immediately. Sheesh.

Baked rice.

1) Place the rice in a microwavable plate/bowl.
2) Slice the bacon into strips/ cut it in bits and add to rice.
3) Place the cheese over the rice and bake.
4) Bake for about 20 minutes and you're done.

It's really nice.

Funny thing...

I made that recipe up when seeing this thread.

Great cooks know how to improvise :D

Now, I definitely do need to go to the grocery store. All I have left in my fridge: swiss cheese, eggs, and a whole lot of cloves of garlic. Not sure what I could make out of that, other than the World's Worst Omelette.

Yea, can't help you there buddy.

And I think you are over exaggerating me being a great cook. I'm probably the worse. I burn eggs. I burn grilled cheese. I always put too much of something in the pot. Oh, and ground beef. that's a pain to cook.

1) Cook the bacon.
2) Crumble bacon into cooked rice.
3) Mix cheese into cooked rice/bacon combination.
4) Refrigerate for 15 minutes.
5) Take out of refrigerator.
6) Mold into cakes.
7) Pan-fry in a little oil and butter.
