Hey all,

Im just making this thread to announce that I have almost completely deleted DAP (Besides the Plugins) while still being able to download stuff.

So, this thread is just a reference if any of you got screwed-over with DAP.

IF you have Firefox go to:

Preferences>Applications

Anything under the action column that is labeled with "DAP Plugin" Click and switch to Always ask, your stuffit expander, whatever you want. Just dont leavce it with the DAP plugin.

Now after that, go to:

Preferences>Main>Manage Add-ons...>Plugins

Disable ANYTHING related to DAP.

I hope this reference will be helpful to anyone who might need it.

Download Accelerator Plus - a plugin for Firefox
Apparently it is causing a lot of problems for some users
And deleting and/or disabling it is proving to be troublesome

Thanks, I didn't have a clue since this thread popped out of nowhere. Why not just uninstall it and call it a day? Is it that obtrusive?

Apparently it is... it is preventing the download of anything when disabled
And uninstalling isn't straightforward from what I understand
There was another thread on it the other day

I don't use it
