Hello,
just to say that I just got my 1st iPhone ! 3GS 16GB :) I'm playing around with it and I find it, as any Apple product, very nice !

I can't wait for the JB ;)

Seriously? I was thinking of jailbreaking, maybe, but mainly because I like the feature of tricking the iPhone into thinking 3G is WiFi so I can use Skype anywhere. I don't really plan on the backgrounds idea, but you're saying that if I don't do this now, basically Apple has made it so that I'll never be able to jailbreak again (unless I downgrade to the 3.0 again)

Yes, you need to get the IBSS and IBEC files for your phone if you plan on JB.

**NOTE: It seems like most are able to capture both their iBEC and iBSS files in DFU mode. To try it just in DFU mode skip steps 4 through 6
