I have looked everywhere and cannot solve this problem, broken iphone 3gs

I recently purchased a few iphone 3gs's

I have one that would not work

It will not turn on, no matter how long it is charged

When I plug it into charge the apple logo constantly flashes

I cannot reset the phone

ive played with this problem for 6 hours and di countless amounts of research and cant find anything that helped.

if anyone could help me I would greatly appreciate it

Have you tried putting it into DFU mode? DFU makes sure, among others, that you can reinstall or insert a fresh install of iOS, if the current one is faulty.

Here's a guide to get into DFU mode:
- Attach the phone to the pc
- Turn the phone off
- Hold power and home together for *exactly* 10 seconds
- Release power but keep holding home until the pc beeps as a USB device is recognized.
- At no point will the display come on. Now your restore should work.

DFU mode does not work I have tried that.

once i got it to stay stuck on the itunes, usb cable sync screen thats the only other update, but that was only one time

You might want to try DFU mode with a different computer running iTunes.

And make sure you are using a known good or at the very least a USB cable from Apple.
