I have an iPhone 16 and don't need my SIM card from the previous iPhones I have owned. If either one works and I only have access to tooth picks, will it matter if it is round or flat?

Thank you for your help.

An unfolded paper clip should do it. I have generally found toothpicks to be too wide to fit deep enough into the hole. Don’t press too hard or the eject mechanism can break.

Don't use a toothpick. They can and do break often and jam in the phone. Stick to a Paperclip or a straight Pin or an open Safety Pin.

Thank you! I'll figure it out tomorrow. I have a few options.

If you use the Sim tray somewhat often, you can buy some more through Amazon. I got some fancy ones from them when I had a Sim tray slot.

I couldn't find a paper clip, so I just went to the Apple Store and had them open it for me.

Edit: I still have the box for the SE I just traded in. Just now realized, it included the tool to open the sim tray. 🤣
