Hi Mac lovers,

I have MacBook OSX 10.4.11 that I purchased a year ago. I also own a PC laptop. I have an 320GB external hard-drive that I keep many movies/shows/music that I have been using with my PC.

Once I plug the ext. hard-drive to my Mac, I can enjoy my movies/shows but have no control over such as changing filename/moving to my mac drive/etc. All I can do is open the file.

Is there a way I can have control of my ext. hard-drive on Mac as well? I use my Mac mostly so the control on my ext. hard-drive will be crucial.

Thanks for the help!

The issue is the type of file system on your external drive. NTFS, for example, can be read by OSx, but not written. The MacFuse is an add-on that allows you to access it like a Mac drive.
