I have sold my MBP and Googled best way to clear everything. I followed the guide which said to open Disc Utility and click on my SSD and then on Erase. Which I did but after this when it restarted I had a flashing folder icon.

Googled some more and tried a few options but nothing worked. I cant reinstall OSX because there is no start up disc. I can go in to Disc Utility using CMD+R and I can physically see the disc then but not when I try to reinstall OSX as there is no Disc there to install it too.

What do I do?

Thanks in advance.

It’s a 2015. I managed to get a genius and he plugged it in and forced OSX on to and it’s currently installing as I type :)

Apparently it can just happen sometimes albeit rare.
