I have the AT&T Network tethering on my iPhone 3GS W/O jailbreak

What firmware is your 3GS on?
Even if somehow magically your native tethering worked with no hacks it could only tether either thru USB or bluetooth and neither of those would work with an ipad.
You gotta JB and install MyWi on your iphone to be able to tether using wifi something not supported thru Apples native tethering function.

Well its not magic just a website you go to thru safari and waalaa!:rolleyes:

Ok Thanks you answered my question, Yes its only thru USB or Bluetooth.

No matter what profile you install from a website it will not work on a stock 3.1.3 firmware without a JB. Try using it and actually turn it on for a second to see what happens.
Just because you have the option there it doesnt mean it will function. It will just shut off and the option will dissapear as soon as you try turning it on.
