I am happy, many people moving to M1 so great offers on intel Macs are coming. I just found a dealer that sells brand new 16 inch model i7/512 for 1300. Many says that intel is bad idea but love the 16 inch screen, I compare to 13 and seems like a toy, for coding and working with my normal IDEs the big screen is a win.

Battery life still to be checked, for sure not same as M1 but I am not going to be using this out from office, desk, etc, plugging is not a problem.

Time to find MBP 16 bargains, I encourage you to try.

Cheers

I'm looking around for iMac bargains. I would prefer an M1 but who doesn't love a bargain?

Did you get 32 GB of RAM?

The model comes with standard 16GB, upgrading to 32GB would be really expensive and out of offer so I think it's ok. It's no so good that these machines can't be upgraded but the price was really attractive.

I am thinking to use this machine at least four years, then who knows, maybe silicon technology gets mature and future 16 M1X bargains appearing.

I am coming from a MBP 13 dual core and this is another league, truly a pro machine in all aspects.
