I couldn't wait for a cheque to come, i was going to get the 12" PBook but for the difference in price I finally couldn't justify the expense.

I ordered the 12" stock model and left it at that. I really wanted the PBook but i didn't want the Airport card and would of liked to have it removed to bring the cost down further, paying £1000 + for it when the G5 is coming is silly. I owned a PB 1.25Ghz model last year and it wasn't worth the asking price for it, the 12" PB very nearly was now that I'm thinking about it.

I've owned an iBook before, a G3 model 800mhz so I know what I'm getting.
I have a digital camera to buy later this year as well, thats £400!

I am going from an eMac 1Ghz so I don't expect any speed increase sadly, however i was worried that the 32meg Graphics card on the iBook was incapable is rendering fast enough, this eMac slows down using Safari sometimes and until i lowered the res i thought this was normal! :(

Anyway, i'm just confessing, i needed to write this down as i really wanted the PB but couldn't wait, plus the way i see it, i could buy an ipod or isight further down the line because i saved myself some money now.

I do have one question however. Is the HD in the iBook hard to upgrade? I heard it has like 40 screws, i would of done this in the Apple Store but i can't get a 5400 rpm drive it seems and that sucks monkey balls.

With the savings i could get a the 60GB 7200 online and install it, but I want to know how hard it is first. If it is I'll make do with my 160GB 7200rpm external drive.
