Yup...can't wait until it arrives. This is my first MAC ever.

We get tons of discounts from my work so I went to the apple site through my company's website. I couldn't believe that my MBP AntiGlare would only be 1500.

;-)

A 15" 2.4GHz Core i5 with anti-glare would be $1461.75 after 25% discount. A 25% discount is what Apple employees get (one system per year). I'm not aware of any other company or education discount that approaches the Apple employee discount. The standard corporate discount is 8%. That would put the above machine at $1793.08. Your stated price of $1500 is a 23% discount.

So, exactly which company has negotiated a 23% discount for their employees when the entirety of the rest of the corporate world are getting 8%?

Nice, you're going to love it :)

what processor?

I went for the most basic one but I added the anti-glare screen.

How do I track it now? I have not received an email fro
apple yet which is a bit strange.

I have no idea how the discounts work. I work for an investment bank on wall street so I'm sure we get a pretty decent discount.

I have a friend who works at Ernst and Young, (they are apple's auditors) and he gets 25%.

Company discount website link? :p

Congrats on an awsome deal. My friend had a limited amount of 15% discounts he could give out as an Apple Store employee. He's not my friend anymore because he quit prior to the release of the updated MBPs.

I found the Ernst and Young Australian Apple Store site and the discount is 8%, just like all other corporate discounts. No sign of a US-based Ernst & Young Apple Store site.

I suspect your friend is considered to be a direct Apple employee. Apple employees get 25% off one one complete system once per year.
