I just noticed 4 small lights on my unibody macbook. right near the logo

Hey guys,
i had my screen tilted all the way and noticed 4 white spots. perfectly symmetrical. i thought it was a scratch or something, so tried cleaning it. but its actually light coming out. IT only shows when you tilt the screen all the way back and when the macbook is powered on. otherwise the screen is flawless.

plus like I said the lights are perfectly symmetrical. basicaly looks like this

the hyphens being the lights.

right on the bottom of the display. any ideas guys?


i am guessing this is just the LEDs which are at the bottom of the screen.

its visible if i tilt the screen all the way back and then lay the screen on the ground. so the base of the laptop is elevated. lol

I don't have that problem. if its bugging you, go to the genius bar.. they are pretty good.

sounds like your seeing the led lights behind the screen? but idk i dont see any..

Reflection from the backlit keyboard, thats my bet.

i tried taking a picture, but the lights dont show up well. lol

its not the back lit keyboard, because i have the unibody macbook from 08, these models didnt have back lit keyboards.

umm you really have to lay the screen flat on the ground to see the lights.
should i book an appointment with the mac store?

ohh one more thing.
they dont show up when there is too much light. you cant see it.
if the room is dim then its visible.
