I just purchased ML and recieved an email for what?

So i paid 19 bucks, i got an email saying

Thank you for having placed an order for Apple software.

You will find attached the PDF file protected by password with your order Apple software license. The password needed to unlock the PDF file attachment will be emailed separately. If you do not receive the email containing your password, please check your spam filter before contacting us to obtain a new license document and a password.

To unlock the PDF file, just to double-click the attachment, then enter the password that was specially sent to this license agreement.

We recommend that you print or save your license agreements for all purposes.

In case of loss of your PDF file or to get another, please contact Apple or Apple authorized dealer from whom you purchased your volume license.

no where do i see any place for a password but in the attached pdf, how does this work, if everyone gets mavericks and thats the latest system how can i download ML because i refuse to continue using mavericks until they solve some of the issues with damaging 4tb hard drives, i lost 3 within a month so far.
