I just realized double-spaces have been getting converted into periods and thought I was slowly going insane all the while

So I had previously turned off all spell checking, autocorrect, etc., or so I thought... I have caught onto this trend of periods getting typed without period keystrokes, and it's been driving me absolutely bonkers. I haven't been able to find any info on this by Googling. I just wanted to share this in case anybody else was getting super frustrated over this sort of feature.

I actually wondered at one point - is this planned obsolescence? Are they really messing with me this deeply? Don't touch my keyboard; keyboard is sacred. Bluetooth latency is bad enough for me *sigh* 😔

They have added so much since the last time I owned a Mac!

Any tips for keyboard latency, btw? Neither my magic mouse or trackpad have issues, but the magic keyboard latency really messes with me sometimes. I wish there was a way to prioritize keyboard io stream.

I keep the cable connected. It's nigh-unusable via Bluetooth in my experience (especially for games).
