I have both Microsoft Office 2004 and iWork '09 installed on my MacBook. I've stopped using Word and started using Pages, but my Mac seems determined to make things as difficult as possible.
Whenever I try to open a .doc file, one of two things happens:
1) It opens in TextEdit.
2) It opens in Word.
I've tried right-clicking the .doc file, selecting "Open With...", choosing "Pages," and checking the "Always Open With" checkbox, which opens the selected document just fine in Pages. However, this does nothing for other .doc files, which continue to open in either TextEdit or Word.
How do I set things up so that all .doc files open in Pages and nothing else?
