I personally LOVE the look. Skeuomorphism was necessary when smartphones and tablets were coming out to familiarize people with the devices but I personally don't like the aesthetics of it at all. I'm a lot more memorized by iOS 8 and Yosemite than I was iOS 6 and OS X pre yosemite.
