Anyone see any reviews from the hands-on session that mention anything about the maps application? Wondering if there are any major changes with iOS 5?

Thanks

It doesn't look like it. I was hoping the YouTube app would get updated with the ability to look at specific channels, etc.

Thankfully, as Apple would say, there's an App for that :p. Navigon was the best $30 or so I spent.

I wasn't all that bothered about the lack of hardware changes, but the fact that iOS5 wasn't even hiding a load of unannounced features for the new iPhone was really quite poor. Siri is underwhelming and I'd wager does not work nearly as well as advertised (just as Voice Control didn't), and Apple have been wasting time doing bloody greetings cards and splitting out video, instead of fixing the much more pressing problems in iOS like maps desperately falling behind, or YouTube being terrible, or Safari not being able to do really basic stuff. It's a really, really bad update.

Forstall needs to go.
