Cali baby!
wouldn't this be pretty good for the Montevina update? what do you guys think?

it'd be a dream come true to have even a 9300M GS in the high-end macbook.

dedicated graphics? CHECK.

win for the consumer! but it's still weak enough to encourage people to step up those who need it to the MBP for the superior (word used lightly here) 9600M/9650 GS (as that's speculated to be the next GPU for MBP)

i realize i'm totally in fantasy-land at this point, but wouldn't this be pretty cool?

$799 base MB. X4500, Combo Drive (i'm against it but i know apple isn't), 1GB ram.

$999 MB. X4500, SD, 2GB RAM, bigger HD.

$1399 macbook/blackbook 9300M GS, SD, 2GB RAM, biggest HD.

not sure on exact HD sizes/processors.

anyway, i know apple would probably never do this, as to avoid MBP sales being canabalized. if it was a consumers world though...

EDIT: the more i think about it the crazier it sounds. two different GPUs on the same model notebook? has apple even done that before?
