Just commenting about it not being PowerPC. Most of us here own early Intel Macs. Generally we classify that as Intels between 2006 and about 2010-2011. So, we talk about them and support them in this forum because we own and use them ourselves.

I've asked twice about opening an early Intel Mac forum, but so far there has been nothing. On the other hand, there's been little moderation of early Intel posts.

All this is to say that we aren't going to pummel you for posts about early Intels.

How about making the "Embracing Early Intel" thread a sticky?
I wouldn't mind. Only issue is that technically the mods could say "It's not PowerPC." and then end up moving the thread to the Intel forum instead.

@arn has said that he's open to creating an early Intel forum if there is enough interest. Most of us have expressed interest and so far we've been allowed to skate with our Intel posts (I imagine because we've tried to attach them to PowerPC themes, even loosely). I'd just hate to attract mod attention that shuts that all down.

I'm just really surprised that thread hasn't been moved yet. I had a Intel related thread that got reported and moved shortly after I posted it and I was fortunate I wasn't given a warning.

It's a gamble.

Ok, fair enough. I remember adding my support to the creation of such a forum and fingers crossed it will receive the green light eventually. I'm not impressed that someone felt the need to report your thread. I'll leave it there, lest they report me...

I'd just hate to attract mod attention that shuts that all down.
