iWeb has potential, but it's not worth buying iLife '06 just for that.

However I think you'll find the UI layout, themes and audio control updates to iMovie, full screen viewing in iPhoto and themes in iDVD make it worthwhile and you'll get iWeb anyway.

Well, to be serious, I have iLife 06 and its pretty good (nice upgrade) but other than some new themes, more standard look, iphoto I think it the only big improvement but thats just me.

Also, if can get it CHEAP I would get it, but if you think about it, its April 16, one third of the year is up, as in 1/3 of the wait till iLife 07 is up, so you might as well wait, but thats jmo

iPhoto update is very good. I love the full screen editing.

iMovie is still iMovie. I like the the themes and things but they currently do not fit into what I am doing.

iDvd... well you get more themes when you boil it down thats it.

iWeb is a 1.0 at best. I like the potential but is alot like iWork of last year. YOu really begin to get frustrated that it allows you to do so much but then can't get out of its own way when trying to do things beyond the stock templates. I have a lot of hope for iWeb 07.

I dont use Garageband yet but i am very I may start playing with it for a family podcast.

I would say if you haven't upgraded yet then hold off till iLife 07.

iLife '06 really uses .mac alot. You get a lot more value out of it if you have a .mac account.

True. Depends on your library size though. For my 10,000 photos it made a huge difference.

I agree, that was really the only reason why I upgraded.

iLife 06 is a good upgrade if you really use all of the applications...if not, I would just stick with iLife 05 and upgrade to iLife 07 next Jan.
