There I said it - I love the mighty mouse.

I have a wireless one - it works fine - I like the fact the mousewheel scrolls horizontally. I think the battery life is grand.

I don't see why it gets such a bad rep...

I'd recommend it to a friend.

Good, just wanted to get that off my chest.

Flame on :D

i agree with the op. I have mine three months now and not one problem have i had. Best mouse i ever owned.

I've used a Might Mouse for over 2 years now and I like it. I do have to clean the scrolling ball every couple months, but it doesn't take long at all.

I'm not trying to flame or anything, I use a wireless MM, but the track ball will probably fail on both of you soon, other than that I like the MM, I rarely have to switch the batteries, but I see people on MR always say it eats up batteries, I use rechargeable batteries anyway so wouldn't mind if it did, but it just doesn't (for me). However the trackball not working properly does get annoying, it will sometimes work for scrolling up, but no left, right, or down, it's been like that for a while (I got mine with my iMac in mid 2007)

You just need to clean your scroll ball.

Use a clean lint-free cloth lightly moistened with water. Wipe the ball and the surrounding area, making sure to rotate the ball itself to ensure complete coverage. If the scrolling feels rough or if the scroll ball isn't scrolling up, down, or side-to-side, hold the mouse upside-down and roll the ball vigorously while cleaning it to help dislodge any particles that may have collected on the internal hardware.

I love my wireless Mighty Mouse. The scroll ball did break after about six months of heavy use, but it was replaced without a question, so it wasn't too problematic...

I've had my wireless MM almost 2 years and it's still going strong, scroll ball and all, clean it once and a while, and try to wash your hands on a regular basis and it'll go on forever :)
