When you fold the cover over the microfiber side is against the surface its resting on and unless that surface is uber clean the micro fiber will pick up anything on it. I know the answer is use a clean surface and thats a given but even doing that you will pick up stuff and possible stain, dirt, oil foodstains anything on the surface so be careful.

Is there any case like the Lexington that doesnt use the side that goes against the screen as the side that touches the desk or table surface when folded up ?

I fold it "accordion" style, it tilts it a bit to the right but it's fine

When using it in stand mode... I just brush off the cover... don't think theres many cases with a way around it.
