I have two 2018 MacBook Pros, a 13 and a 15. My 13 inch works fine with the brightness control on the Touch Bar, the 15 does not. Is that just because they are different internals? Or just a random beta fun issue.

it is because of the dGPU in the 15" MBP and the issue is documented in the release notes.
