Got my 12" PowerBook today...
I'm a switcher...
Never going back...

OSX kicks some serious Winblows ASS!!!

I will be around here a lot more now! Going to have lots of questions! (after I use the search...)

i have a rev. a 12" powerbook, its sweet, definitely get Applecare though before your first year runs out, you never know what might go wrong though, better to be safe than sorry in the long run...

Yeah, when I won my powerbook (still feel like I'm dreaming, haha), Aaron (genius bar dude.. I less-than-three him!) started to try to sell me apple Care. I figure I'll let my year-warranty get to 360 days, then get the apple care.
"Do I REALLY need it? If anything goes wrong, it'll be within the first 90 days, right?"
"but.. it's a $2000 notebook for free.. I think you want it."
that circle of conversation went on for a few minutes..

But getting back to the real topic:
I got my iBook from a pawn shop on 9/29/04 and I've never looked back!!

switch and switch again

My first computer was a Mac (classic II), I then upgraded to a powerbook 170 (with a whole 4mb RAM).
Those were the days of OS7, even before Win95.
I used to laugh at my brothers' Win3.1 machine.
It was a long time agon in a galaxy far far away.
When I had to upgrade again, I couldn't afford a Mac and had to settle for the newly released Win95. Its was merely OK, but I've wanted a Mac ever since. For 10 years I've waited.
Last month I got my pbook, and now I am a happy camper.
I was a bit reluctant about buying a Mac, cause I do love gaming.
However, I've still got my desktop PC for that, except since I got the pbook I haven't bothered playing any games on a PC.
Getting aquainted with OS X is almost as much fun as fragging people.

This little iMac G4 has served me well as a lifetime Mac user, as have the Macs I've had before it (in reverse chronological order):

- PowerBook G4 667 MHz (older revision)
- PowerMac 7200/75
- Apple IIgs

I love my Mac, too - even though I'm forced to use Windows at work and at school.
