I was just posting to say When I finally purchase my refurbished macbook im going to have to sit up all night monday so I can actually get ahold of one on Tuesday. All of them are gone within 5 hours its insane!!

I am going to pick up the C2D Macbook White for $899 when they come back. :D

only on Tuesday?

I am not so convinced that Apple only posts new refurbs on Monday night. I have not been searching everyday for the past few months or anything (I mean who wants a new computer that bad....) but I seem to recall a previous post that mentioned some new refurbs listed on a Wednesday morning.
Happy to be corrected, but if refurbs are simply listed when they become available, potentially that could be any day of the week.
Happy hunting!

I think they are updated regularly. I will be checking everyday so I wll confirm, but I have looked later in the week and the next day there is new stuff. We are talking like friday type stuff. I may be wrong and my days are off though.

There is a whole new list of refurbs up today.. go and get one now!

Also this dispells the Tuesday myth..

There are thousands of buyers watching the refurb listings.
The best refurbs go FAST so once you figure out what you want
you have to be ready to pounce. I generally stick to refurbs of the current
model rather than going back to an earlier release.
I call in my order direct to my rep at 1-800-MYAPPLE to get a confirmed
purchase.

You may get that extra refurb candy or not, but generally your machine
will arrive in pristine condition.

If you are entitled to the education discount, then you may benefit more from those prices along with any other buying incentives like printer deals, additional factory RAM etc.

Buying new allows you to get exactly what you want, where refurbs come "as is" with the factory warranty.

Happy bargain shopping

Wow, if I buy that 15" Core2Duo MBP on the Australia Refurb store for $2440 AUD, this would be my biggest impulse buy ever.

It's a VERY good deal, though. I'm still tempted to just sell my MB for this thing. I could probably get $1400 for my MB because of my 1GB stick of RAM and upgraded HDD, since RAM in this country is so incredibly expensive.

I've got to get off the internet. :( Later.

I'm wanting to buy a refurb just to save money but I may just get a new one because it ships within 24 hours and I don't think I can wait much longer!!! Not very practical, I know! ;)
