The Keynote was such a let down. It's not Apple's fault, but everything down to the launch and pre-order dates were leaked well before the event. It use to be so much fun and so exciting watching the blogs line by line as they happened live. Though I'll love the phone just the same, knowing every last detail was such a downer. I miss that excitement. :apple:

Honestly not to be a jerk, but don't follow the rumors if you don't wanna know. I used to feel that way about leaks, and still do sometimes, but it's part of the game. If you don't wanna know ahead of time, stay off macrumors.

People want to know (otherwise they wouldn't come to a RUMORS site in the first place) and thn when they keynote comes and they're not surprised they feel Apple let them down.

MacRumors has become infested with ______ members as of late. You can add the 2007 MR forum to the list of things I miss.

Sorry but if you're let down it's your fault. You can choose to look at all the leaks or not. You can decide to not frequent rumor tech sites and get the leaks or not. I still enjoyed the keynote simply because it was "live" and not rumors. It did seem the crowd was a bit less excitable than with past keynotes.

Why do you say this? Because people that came in to respond to your thread didn't say how sad they were for you and agree? Our society is so screwed up because we crave information then whine when X event is ruined because we already know so much about X item.

My thoughts exactly. Don't look if you don't wanna hear what's coming up.

I think those days are over, for those of us that have been following Apple back to the late 90's, there is just too much money and page views involved in leaking this stuff that didn't exist back then. If we want to have the phones a week after the announcement in the volumes Apple is shipping, I think the whole no leaks is a near impossibility. What I think Apple should do it leak their own parts and cases, throw us all off the scent.

BTW, I miss the pre 2005 days here at MR. ;)

I love the new iPhone but...

But - I wish I had not wasted time opening this thread. If the subject line was more descriptive, I would have skipped it.

unfortunately, that's just how it is now. The potential for leaks increase with Apple's dominance.

Think about it, the iPhone 2G, the 3G, 3GS....they were very secretive and nobody knew what was coming....well pretty much, but

As Apple started taking on more channels and outlets to sell iphones (more stores, more carriers, larger workforce, more manufacturers, more vendors, more partnerships....there is just waaaay more opportunity for someone, somewhere to: steal some info, break a privacy agreement, or just let the secrets fly
