I purchased a Zugu Muse for my iPad Pro 11 and it arrived on Monday. I thought it would be everything I was looking for, but it’s not. The pictures make it look like there is rugged protection all around your iPad. It’s not. It’s really pliable tpu that comes off of the sides if you don’t have the Apple Pencil in the charging area.

I emailed them about this and they said they made it less rigid so it would be easier to install. I was looking for a protective case. That’s why I spent $60+ on the case. Instead, I got a really heavy case that won’t protect my iPad anymore than a $20 Soke Case from Amazon. They’ve got some great marketing though and the photos look like it’s a solid protective case. Just know that it is not.

The search for a solid protective case continues...

Maybe it's just like that with the iPad Pro 11's form factor. I have the Zugu cases on my 2018 iPad, 2017 iPad Pro 10.5" and 2019 Mini 5 and they are perfect.

Yes and no. They made it look like a good strong rigid alternative, but instead they used extremely pliable tpu which means it will not protect your iPad from bending.

the Backplate is what makes it rigid. (Have you seen the thickness of it in the vent holes in the back??)
It's quite rigid and I've had mine on for a year now :)

Is it protective against drops and things like that, or would it be better to get something bigger?
Well I wouldn't drop it from a helicopter. But it sure feels sturdy.

I'm not shure there are any army grade drop resistant covers dor the ipad?

I know exactly what you are referring to! It’s the side where the Apple Pencil attaches to right? I absolutely hate how easily you can ‘peel’ it off. It’s why I was forced to refund my case, and believe me, I really liked it!
