After using 2011/2012 MacBook Pros for a while, and a Surface Pro in between, I just picked up the new MacBook Air today. I love it so far!! Super light, great screen, love the TouchID. I got it in gold too, which I like because it's an unusual color for a laptop. The only ly thing I miss is the glowing Apple logo. Why did they get rid of that anyway?

You'll love it, we got ours on Friday and haven't put them down so far. Jealous of my wife's gold model. The keyboard Is phenomenal!

It's taking a little getting used to (keep in mind I've only had it for like an hour... but it's definitely the best Mac keyboard I've ever used. Love the large trackpad too.

Getting used to the force touch on the trackpad is kinda difficult for me. Never used one. I keep clicking too hard, lol.

I've noticed that it runs a little hot sometimes. I dug out an old laptop cooler I used for a large laptop that I did a lot of gaming on and am using that when I am using it on a desk. It raises the computer up to an angle and has two fans that blow out onto the bottom of the laptop

What is the silent clicking checkbox? When I selected it, it made no difference at all regarding the trackpad clicking sound.

Set the click to firm and click to toggle the silent check box, you can hear it better, less with medium and very hard to tell with light. Not necessarily silent is it?

I took the plunge too. This is my first Mac ever. Coming from a surface pro 3

I am loving it!
