Hello,
I have a samsung Galaxy A12 and an Apple MacBook Air M1. I'm pretty sure that I'm using the latest OS. I went to the App Store and downloaded the updates.
The reason I say I may have a virus is because I noticed fraudulent and spoofed charges on my cash app card and my personal debit card. I have since requested a new debit card, and I'm trying to get cash app to stop the spoofed charges.
Is there anyone who can help me with antivirus logs and stuff. I'm hoping to get some help like with the Major Geeks forums where I go through a process and you check the logs.
My cell phone wouldn't download ESET (Nod32). It said harness stopped download. So I factory reset the phone. However, I couldn't immediately get the phone to let me verify by text message code. After about an hour I was able to verify by text message code to get setup again. It was pretty strange. However, it may be google taking extra precautions because I use so many of their services for business and pleasure.
Interestingly, after the factory reset and everything was over. Cash app was listed as an app on my phone, and I know it didn't come prepackaged. Also, I never reused old data because of the fraudulent charges. I immediately deleted the app. I've since unlinked bank information to my cash app.
I've never been the victim of any scams I know of so it's strange.
As for the MacBook, I haven't noticed anything strange on the computer like I did with my android cell phone. The MacBook still boots up fast and does everything right.
I have noticed that my screen flashes and does weird stuff sometimes on my Wordpress website. I'm switching hosting providers when I can to something managed.
Any help is appreciated. I just need my M1 Mac's logs examined.
