I've got a Panasonic NV-EX1 digital video camera and yes, it's an antique by modern standards.
I've connected it to my imac (running Leopard) for the first time and........nothing happens.
I guess I need to download a driver?
Any suggestions? I was hoping that the mac would recognise the camera straight away, at the very least I thought it would tell me that a device had been connected but nothing happened at all. I just want to import the movie.
Thanks for any help.

The age of your miniDV camcorder is not the problem. As late is 2003, there was no Windows XP driver for it. That said, the real problem is that the Panasonic NV-EX1 uses USB rather than FireWire. Without FireWire, you are SOL.
