Am i really going to have to pay 5 dollars or jailbreak, dont really want to do either.
 
Check out SaiSuke, which is a free calendar program which seems a bit more versatile than the one that comes with the Touch. You can choose different colors for scheduled events which, for me, catches the eye better. I use red for really urgent stuff, other colors for less important events.
 
back when i did that on my touch i used iProcrastinate Mobile which is meant for homework keeping. it has subjects, urgency and due dates.
 
There are a few things that you can use that are pre-installed on the iPhone or Touch. Calendar and notes. Look before you post;)
