ok so i am new to a macbook pro and i have been using microsoft streets & trips since 2009. i am very bummed to not be able to find a simular program :(

please any suggestions?!?!

Google Maps.

see this is the best i have found, however i need it to be able to work without wifi. and honestly streets and trips is much much better for what i do. i use it for calculating my routes driving a auto transport semi. and there is lots of places that my wireless card dosnt work.

----------

eMaps - no bloat, and very fast.

looks better, but also needs wifi.

Genius...
Spend more money and cause heavy amounts of lag.

feel free to suggest your solution:rolleyes:

it would seem that there simply is no map program worth a crap that is for a mac.... running it thru windows seems like my only option.

If you run in Bootcamp, there is no real lag. For a mapping program, a VM would be fine since you aren't gaming. Can you point to an OSx standalone mapping program? I've searched over time and never found one. Windows apps are available, OSx apps are not. If you have a better solution why not tell us what it is.

Many GPS apps work without internet connection from iPhone / iPad with 3g or 4g.

But the OP is looking for an OSx app, not IOS.

Check out Crossover, to see if your app is in the list. If so, you don't need a windows licence.
