Hi Everyone
I often see some quite witty responses and clever remarks on here so I'm hoping you guys might have some good suggestions to name a soul/funk band I'm in the process of setting up, its going to be (probably 9 piece) though is currently 8 piece, based in West London.

I have to google every name to make sure theres nothing identical out there, (could get annoying playing on similar circuits)

it must roll off the tongue and describe what we do other than that... let your imaginations run wild.

If anyone comes up with a good one, I will use it! so please help!

Nick

In Deep.
Take it any way you want to. ;)

appreciated as the suggestion is and at the risk of seeming ungrateful.... how does anybody know what kind of band that is...

I need a name, that people will see it written on a poster or flyer and think 'Soul Band' or 'Funk band'

Any more suggestions?

Well, when in doubt, always remind band fans that they're hungry. The way to your fans' hearts is actually through their stomachs, not their ears.

So name the band after something good to eat in your neighborhood, you know. Think globally and act locally. Must be some ace diner around there serves something everybody eats, if only because it hasn't done anyone in yet.

I guess you realize that Ratatouille is already taken...

So let's hear it for the megarockin' Eggplant Relish Stompers of West London!

You know. Like that. Could be scrambled eggs and peppers. Stir Fried Celery. Don't matter as long as it rings the dinner bell in their brain. Sing out! Eat up! Ka ching ka ching!

Well, since it's going to be a nine piece band, you could always play off of that.

Nine Piece(s) of X

Or a play on words like

Nine Peace

or Nien Piece

Don't worry, I will.

Actually I was thinking "soul" "deep" but yeah I get what you mean. Complication doesn't make for a very good name for a band.
