There are lots of thread about this, you can find them via MRoogle, if you want though.

If you speak of your internal Hard Disk Drive (HDD), then you need a 2.5" SATA HDD, that has a maximum height of 9.5mm. The biggest currently offered is a Western Digital with 640GB and 5.400rpm, the fastest is the Seagate Momentus 7200.4, a 500GB HDD with 7.200rpm.

You said “disk drive” which technically refers to the hard drive, but from the context it appears you are referring to the optical (“disc”) drive.
