I haven't used Automator at all up till now, but I would like to start, and was wondering if someone could create me a simple workflow. Here's what I want to do:

Find songs in iTunes WITHOUT the type of .aiff or .wav
Add the selected songs to a new playlist called Burn Playlist

How would I do this? I keep running into errors saying that the Library could not be searched.

I wish I were on my mac...this sounds like fun :) Do you have a lot of .aiff or .wav files in your iTunes?

...and couldn't you do this with a Smart Playlist instead of an Automator workflow?

Edit: In fact you can do this with just a Smart Playlist - "Kind - does not contain - AIFF" and add a second rule that said "Kind - does not contain WAV". That's it....good to go.

Wow. Can't believe I didn't think of that (especially after using Macs for years). Thanks!
