Question is simple. I am going to get a third party cable with both a Display Port connector and power supply for my MacBook Air. The design is simple, the power connects to the DP cable, and the cable brings the image to the external display while powering my M1 MacBook Air.

So I need to see how many watts are charging my MacBook Air, in order to not damage my battery, otherwise I'd use one port for charging and the other for the external screen. I know, there's an official adapter, but even this adapter modifies the Watts that charge my devices, it is not the same as plugging it directly to my Mac.

So what I need is a command line to tell me the power that is charging my Mac at the moment. I've seen there are commands that show in the terminal window how much power is the M1 drawing. So I guessed there would be an equivalent command to know if it's charging at full 30W (the MBA charger), at 24W or even 18W.

That's all, thank you.

PS: Also this would be handy if I buy one of this chargers with two outputs, that modify the power depending on the devices connected, just to control I don't overcharge the laptop (charging above the ideal wattage may degrade the batteries).
