I want to be able to switch from my 2010 Mac Mini to my Powerbook DLSD whenever I feel like it -- to my 30" ACD.

I know Belkin or Dr Bott or someone made such a converter at one point -- you plug the computers into the box and hit a switch that will bring up one or the other machine's desktop -- but can't recall what it is?

Thanks

I think what you're looking for is a KVM switch, but you're going to need a specialized one for that 30" ACD. Something like this will serve you well. I've had a number of IOGEAR KVMs over the years. They were all pretty good.

Excellent. Thanks so much. I wonder if any of these ever came with firewire for the aluminum Cinema Displays?

USB on KVMs is nice for keyboards and mice, but if you're switching while using FireWire hard drives you'd have to remember to unmount them each time or run the risk of data corruption.
