I need Adobe Audition to be faster

I am certain that I want this topic in this forum because it has to do with round tripping.

I am using audition 5.5 with PP6.

I use the roundtrip to clean audio up and compress etc.

But the process takes quite a while despite a fast computer (6core, 32GB ram, SSD for OS, raid array)

Am I missing something here? How can I speed up the render and replace process?

EDIT: I would add that the app is using maybe 15% of cpu. that seems a little slow.

What happens if you place the data on the SSD along with the OS. Jut try it once as an experiment. I bet it goes faster.

I will try that but in the meantime I discovered that I can do effects on more than one clip at a time.

Right now I have recorded a favorite that compresses, denoises then reverbs. Once that chain starts, I double click the next wav file and do the same.
That sped things up alot.
