istanbul
juxtapose folders application can somewhat do that but it doesnt look into differences of folders within folders. and it keeps crashing when comparing large folders..

any other app out there?

thanks

Just use terminal

diff -r <folder1> <folder2>

Diff is for comparing, -r does it recursively through sub-directories.

i've only been a mac user for a month. terminal is like DOS right?
so what do i do to compare the folders exactly?
