I need an external DVD burner? what should i do/get

I want to burn a movie from my macbook pro to a DVD.

1) how do I do this (i use idvd i believe)
2) What external burners are suggested to use for burning to a DVD?

Well if i use idvd...can i just export to a dvd cause it has a copy dvd thing...cause it says to "insert blank dvd"

It depends on what type of file format the movie is in. If you created this movie with iMovie, there are export options within iMovie.
