So i seriously dont know what to do right now..
I needed to clean out my iPhone 3g and give it to my sister because shes going overseas.
I did not want to go through the hassle of unlocking, and jailbraking it, so I just went into Settings>General>Reset all settings, this resulted in a boot loop.
So i followed this guide

that Applejuiced provided me with
I made my custom IPSW with ipsw 4.2.1, and ipad ipsw, went into DFU mode with pwnage tool
Apple logo with loading bar pops up, then around 75% it just zooms to the end and gives me a 1050 error.. im like ****..
turn the phone off.. turned it back on..
it instantly boots to recovery mode (steve jobs speaking russian)

what doo it do?
 
I tried it earlier, with alt click? and selecting 4.2.1, and it gave me error 1050 again


but i'm trying tit without selecting the IPSW
 
Before you restore with the custom ipsw, make sure the iPhone is in "Pwned DFU Mode."

Also, the custom ipsw should be un-activated.
 
yup same thing.. error 1050 but now its not steve jobs anymore its the normal recovery mode logo

should i go into DFU and put in custom?

yeah i used redsn0w and pwnage tool to get into pwned DFU mode..
like that stupid loading bar just wont get passed 75%
 
ok hopefully this works!
I'm on my PC, and i downloaded snowbreeze and ran recovery loop fixer
and now restoring on snowbreeeze
 
update: restoring.. then error 15? My iphone has a blank white screen, i turned it off then on again... its stuck at steve jobs speaking russian (recovery mode)
 
Install black rain and Just when u see the ipsw installing and u should see white line showing the loading process...Hit rain and it should push you through without the error.
 
Could it be that im not using itunes 10 on my PC?

I dont have the admin password-.-
